Broad's Fork on Memorial Day

Here are a couple of photos from our Broad's Fork hike on Monday. We stopped at the meadow, but would've liked to have continued. Unfortunately, our time limit had been reached in order to make it back for the traditional cemetery visit and afterward, the barbecue.

sweet, how much snow on the trail before the meadow?

Not much. There were a couple of places where we had to walk across maybe 12 foot patches, and a couple of smaller ones. In that upper area, the snow was melting and running down the trail, making the going a bit slick and treacherous. On the way up we stopped and made a couple of diversion streams so that the water would run off the trail instead of down it, so our return trip wouldn't be as bad, and that helped.
