Tomatoes, cucumbers (for pickling--I can't stand them otherwise), pumpkins, squash, potatoes, annaheim peppers, watermelon.
I decided I'd plant part of my garden in the parking strip this year to see how it grows as it's the only place in my yard anymore with full sun all day. So far though, that's the only part of my garden where a plant has died.

I am growing very small amounts of a couple things this year. Gonna see what I like and what is easiest to maintain before committing to a large crop, hehe. So far I do not not like broccoli. It's been infested with worms 2x already and looks ugly growing. My favorite is the grapes. They grow fast and low maintenance. Strawberries though are really cool in that they have already stared yielding fruit in less than a month.
So 6 plants of each.
- Strawberries
- Lettuce
- Broccoli
- Watermelon
- Cucumbers
- Cantalopes
and 8 grapes.
Gonna drop the hydroponics this year. Hated seeing all that lettuce going to waste with no one eating it. Even tried giving it away but only one neighbor took me up on it. :(Your safety is not my responsibility.

I just had to fix it as the new puppy jumped the 4 foot fence that surrounds it last week and dug some nice holes and ate the watering system. it was pretty and had ground cloth.. now it is Jacked but will still grow plants

Since we're on the topic, does anybody here use the square foot gardening method?

Hey Treehugger, I have had that horrible Simon & Garfunkel song in my head all day after reading your list of herbs. "Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme........."Darn you.
So far I only have 4 varieties of tomatoes, cucumber, zuccini, beets and a slew of peas. I still have to get the peppers, corn, beans, basil, yellow squash...etc. in and soon.Life is Good
