Cedar Mesa Info
It's been a while since I've been in the Cedar Mesa area. Are there facilities nearby the Black Hole area, a place to fill up water, etc.
Also, any word on canyon/water/road conditions in the area? We're going this week to do some of the classics I've never done (Black Hole, Cheesebox, Gravel, etc)
Thanks in advance.

Normally Hanksville and Blanding are the last chance towns.... When the lake is full you can depend on Hite, but right now it's probably iffy... Last time I was in the area you could get water, gas and some items in Hite, but the place was a ghost town and the hours they were open were short. You might call the Hite Marina and see what is open if you are depending on them.

I did Gravel and Cheesebox last Tuesday and Wednesday, there were are few short swims but when we encountered water it was usually waist deep and really cold. The roads are pretty good but a few spots might be a little tricky if you don't have a high clearance vehicle.
