    Fisher Towers

Hiked Fisher Towers with the family this weekend. It's a fun little adventure near Moab.

Next time I hike it I think I'll dress the family in Star Wars costumes, or maybe Lord of the Rings outfits... the entire place looks like something out of a Science Fiction novel and it would freak out the other hikers.....

You must have just missed MrBrejcha and Me. Too bad, you would have been entertained by our crying and whining on the last pitch of Ancient Art. "I'm scared... this is high... you lead it... no, you lead it... Why are we doing this again? Oh yea because it's fun "

I'll be honest.... the only reason I really want to climb Ancient Art is so I can get the cool traditional picture of me standing on top. Than I can have it blown up to 24x36 and hang it on the wall with some of my other "hero" shots (wife calls them dumbass shots). After that I'll bask in the glory bestowed on me by all the couch potatoes, Mormon missionaries, Jehovah's Witnesses and vacuum salesmen who visit my home.

i love the fishers. i took one of my first lead falls on the titan tower. circa 1979. was on the start of the third pitch and standing on this 1/4 bolt that was put in by layton kor. it ripped and i took the fall. thank god for that 5 bolt belay anchor. i still have that bolt.

we climbed that little pinnacle in the parking lot too. its harder than it looks.
But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

I climbed Ancient Art yesterday, but it was extremely windy and I chickened out as far as standing on the Corkscrew is concerned. It was scary enough just straddling that narrow

Climbed it back in 2003. Kinda head's up, but, really only 5.8 A0 ish...

Me on the summit...(scary 'cause the top block is all cracked through).
