My wife is finally getting her tub

3 years after I bought it, I'm finally going to finish the basement bathroom and put our $4,000 tub in. (got it for $1,000) Hopefully within a month it will be complete

i remodeled a bathroom once. took twice as long as i thought it would. good luck and am looking forward to photos of the progress. she's gonna love it. that's a nice tub.
But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.

Do you know how much good that would do for my wife's arthritis? I envy and admire you.

    Corner jetted tubs are nice.

I have the same tub, we hardly ever use it. Takes too long to fill it and it wastes a lot of water.

One thing to keep in mind is the need for a heater. Using the jets will cool the water down at a rapid rate. Having a built in(to the tub) heater solves the problem. We also have 2- 50 gallon water heaters. Ours gets used 2-3 times a week, my outdoor hot tub is empty right now.

My sister in law just had a tankless water heater system put in. Pretty impressive. Unlimited hot water. Pricey.
Biggest complaint in my house is timing it right to have enough hot water for the jetted tub.

We have it as well, but I think your doing it wrong. You need to invite the neighborhood over for a bath. Then you can get a lot of bodies in there and it will fill fast and save a lot of water.

Wow. Really nice. My wife and I are trying to get a house we call our own, yet alone an awesome shower or\and bath.

I've got a high recovery 65 gallon heater (I plumbed it in myself)
It puts out 100 gallons of hot water in the first hour.

It's big enough, you guys can both fit. Perfect solution.

I'm guessing you will hang a curtain around the tub. I ended up putting in a seperate shower.

We're giving it a test run before it's mounted in.
