Love That Beaver
Wow, two incredifantastawsomerrific days in one week.
Sunday there was around 12 inches of nice powder. A tad on the heavy side but not bad and it made for incredible responsive turns. Skiing in the trees was so much fun.
I took a sick day yesterday and oh my god, it.... was.... so... sick. Around 12" of extremely light and fluffy. Almost too light and fluffy though. On the inbounds stuff you would would still be skiing the packed underneath. So I decided to try some the out of bounds stuff. Holy crap. Thigh deep & pushin it to the waist. Plenty of face shots to be had. I was pretty much the only one skiing there too. Nothing but deep fresh lines all day long. It was so incredible. I am still high.
It snowed all day long. Any of you Cache County Beaver skiing freaks.... I would imagine today is going to be killer. I left at 3:00 and it was still snowing hard. Wish I could go play again today too.

I'm jealous. My resort capable tele setup is still in need of bindings and priorities being what they are, I'm beginning to wonder if they will see any use this year. I'm more inclined to want to ski slopes like Beaver Envy across the basin from Beaver Mountain though.
seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way...

I was there yesterday and it was fun. It was only the second time I had been to a resort on the tele skis so I'm still learning (I do pretty well on the groomers, but the chopped up powder quickly kicks me out of that tele stance). I was there with my wife too who hadn't been skiing in 11 years. She took a lesson and didn't fall the whole time. She was awesome.
It was a bit windy though and there was a fair amount of crusty snow around, but other than that, it was a beautiful day.

I am glad you got out.
I am still keeping an eye out on that peak above my house for you. It is looking better but I still don't think it is doable yet. Probably an end of February or March type of thing. That is when I saw the tracks in it last year.

You know the on the way down you pass Fillmore, Beaver. Also Virgin is 100 miles from Beaver. To bad it wasn't place in the middle of the two towns. Fillmore, Medow, Kanosh, Beaver just doesn't have the ring that Fillmore, Virgin, Beaver does.
