    wildcat peak

    this was a real fun peak. just off 95 just east of death valley. most of the rest of this range nearby is characteriazed by darker, drabber rock for the most part. but wildcat stands out as a red slice thru the range. good times...

    yeah, the only way i know i'm not in an alpine range is by the flora, teh cactus and creosote, and by looking out across the landscape below - no forested valleys riddled w/ lakes. otherwise, one talus scramble is like any other, might as well be in the rockies.
