Thank you to all that descend the watercourse, rather than the
    sandslide.

Those wishing to send a note of thanks can address it to:

    Ray O'Neil
    Plateau District Ranger
    Zion National Park
    Springdale UT 84767

    Please do.

Having done both, the watercourse is easier than the sand slide. Once you get to the sandslide, it WAS EZ, but getting there was horrendous.

    Down the boulders - fun!!

Yeah, they do pretty well! and a nice place too, so they deserve it.

Plenty of rooms available this weekend...

The new place down by the Imax might be a good choice. Being new, it might have less market momentum.

I don't. Thought it was the Watchman Lodge, but google has nothing on that.

I've heard good things about the Cliff Rose. www.cliffroselodge.com

or just google: "lodging springdale utah"

The place is called Cable Mountain Lodge. Looks really nice, but a bit expensive.

I think it depends on how many people you are traveling with and what your plans are for the trip. We often travel with needs for up to 4 rooms. At this place it would be worth doubling up and enjoying the amenities if time allowed. I'll keep you posted if we decide to check it out in the near future.

They only allow four in a suite. One king one sofa sleeper.
