    Quit smoking/chewing.

    Cut back on carbonated beverages.

Find more bad habits to replace these ones.

Lose the rest of the weight I planned to lose last year.
Do a lot more hiking this summer (did tons in '07, not nearly enough in '08).
Hit Utah 3 times (only 2 trips last year).
Get my kids out for more hiking/biking/climbing.

I lost all the weight I wanted to so this year I have decided my resolution will be to "Not Suck at Life". I figure thats a pretty easy one.

Time to get serious about decreasing debt again. School loans suck.... they become the family pet. But that is all I have left besides the car.

Resist the temptation to turn the TV back on... been 6 months.

Before I go to bed each night pick up the house real quick. (I know this sounds weird but being the only parent and two kids and working full-time and two part time jobs the house is wreck at the end of the week.)

Only eat out as a family once a month. I have got to cook!!!!!

    Lose 35 lbs

I would be a LOT more impressed if the "(to me)" weren't in there. Come on, Dan. Go big, and make a goal to discover two new continents :)

Seriously, it takes about 5 minutes every night to just make the "swoop" of the house and put things back where they go. I know it's always right before we go to bed in our house, but it's so nice to wake up in the morning with things relatively put back together. I make the kids help out too.

Regarding eating out + 35 lbs + debt......they all go hand in hand. And I feel your pain here. Working mom's with kids in activities, etc....make it really hard to do the whole COOK AT HOME and EAT. We suffer this syndrome as well and I'm married! It's so much easier, less mess, more convenient to eat out.....but drains the bank account and packs on the lbs. GOOD LUCK! I know you can do it.

-Make my vegan diet more healthy and more green (too many soy hot dogs right now, etc.)
-Learn to built my web pages with Adobe Dreamweaver
-Explore more backcountry in Utah and New Mexico, especially with Abby
-Keep Abby out of the hospital
-(Abby's resolution is "no more EMS rides")
