TR: Farnham Dome in the Snow

I took the family out to Farnham Dome today and we did our first ride in the snow. It was tons of fun! We got stuck a few times, but I was able to dig out of it each time. It only got up to about 24

Cool, looks like good quality vid. What camera is that, and what software are you using?

The camera is my wife's Canon PowerShot A460 (a pretty cheap point-and-shoot), and I use Windows Movie Maker to edit the video. I've been contemplating getting a nicer video camera the next time I have some extra money burning a hole in my pocket, but I'm not sure I'd dare mount it to the ATV. I've already almost taken this one out a couple of times by hitting trees.

With all the plowing and shoveling I've been doing the past few days, I've yet to get out and get in my first snow ride.

Perhaps Monday (I'm on PTO until the ~7th), I can get out and break some snow trail.

What are the GPS coords to the area you went?

    Good stuff. Thanks for sharing!

Cool. I'd keep it cheap if you're getting that quality out of it. What settings are you using on Windows Movie Maker to produce it?

I'm just saving to .WMV format in 640x480 at 864 Kbps, but I just read today that YouTube is doing high-quality processing for just about all videos that you upload in decent quality, so apparently there's no longer a magic formula you have to hit on to get the high-quality link.
