    I wonder what goes on with the screening process to be a trooper? I know some great people who were told they were unable to interview through the process for not meeting the credential and then some nut cases get through.

    the process is actually quite extensive. my brother in law recently went throught it. couldn't believe how long and how in depth the background search was. lasted a couple of months, it seemed.
