Bump! I am surprised this is the only thread about this place. It is a dream destination for me as well! It is basically what Yosemite was like at the end of the Ice Age.
I can't post a link yet but look for the Nunavut Tourism photo page at flickr...

http://www.summitpost.org/polar-sun-spire/152417Utah is a very special and unique place. There is no where else like it on earth. Please take care of it and keep the remaining wild areas in pristine condition. The world will be a better place if you do.

Mark Synott has a guidebook out on Auyuittuq and the Pond Inlet big wall country. Good self-torture material, especially if you're not Charlie Porter or someone of similar talent. The Arctic in general is a good way to learn about the concept of truly clear air!

[QUOTE=Scott P;450312]I do have knowlege of it and it's one of my dream destinations too, but since it's expensive to get to and it's hard for me to get time of in summer I haven't been.
Of course, Polar Sun Spire is actually not in the park.
I wish the author of that summit post would correct his map coordinates for it and Great Sail...they end up in the ocean!
