thursday is my last day underground...
yes. I bid for a surface job and finally got it. I've been underground for 14 years and have toyed with the idea of going topside for a while now...I think I'm excited!

Don't talk unless you can improve the silence.
The trout do not rise in the cemetery, so you better do your fishing while you are still alive. SGH

Good for you. At least now you won't have to worry about getting slabbed up.It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

On the plus side, I won't get near as dirty everyday as I have been 'accustomed' to.
...tomorrow is go in at 8am for osha training & then my new boss, who started underground working for me, will take me to my new digs..anyone ever heard of Jason Bartlett - played football for SF years ago...big(read:huge) tall guy? thats the guy.

Congrats on coming to the surface. I wish you all the success that the light of day may provide.
I myself supposedly work a day shift, but I get in at dark and leave at dark. Does that constitute an above ground job?
