    Wood on Mars?

    This is a link to an official NASA image at the NASA.gov site. This is safe to view at work.

    Zoom in and look at the thing in the left (it's obvious). Doesn't it look like a railroad tie? It really does look like wood! Interesting.

    Everything looks like something else from one perspective in low-res black and white.

    Side story: Do you remember when they thought they saw a face? I used to work with a guy who was a conspiracy theory magnet. He showed me a website where some crack pot inspired by the face poured over thousands of satellite Mars photos
