That seems to be the general consensus around the fishing community lately.

I'm afraid that I can't second that sentiment though. I've gotten too attached to my float tube this year. Seeing the winter creep in makes me really sad since the snow builds up and blocks to roads to my favorite places on the planet.

I might have to wait until June again, like last year before I can hit the "healing grounds" again. Bummer.

On a lighter note, I really am excited to pull more fish out of a hole this year.

Last year was my first for ice fishing and I didn't get a whole lot of action. It was fun though. I think I caught 7 fish from the ice last year. This winter promises to provide more than that and I'm sure I'll get out a little more.

Hope you do well. Got any favorite spots that you don't mind talking about?

Pineview narrows is my favorite spot. Huge crappies and plenty of perch. I'll probably hit Huntington once it freezes this month and then just go wherever the ice is.
