Don't Want The Thief's To Get Hurt

I find this so totally ridiculous.

That's very disturbing. At first I thought it was a local story until I got to the the second paragraph and realized that it's in England. I've read quite a few news stories like this one coming out of the UK where it seems that criminals have more rights than law-abiding citizens.

I bet he was asked to remove it for some reason other than the safety of thieves. The story becomes less ridiculous if you consider that this is probably a communal garden plot and that the source of the statement concerning thieves is the (probably disgruntled) gardener who had to un-do his own handiwork. I'm guessing the removal had more to do with the safety of other gardeners.

Well...I just call it reading. See below for clues from the text that there may be more to the story than what is presented. It seems to me that the story is deliberately designed to induce a knee-jerk reaction.

    ---

A gardener who put up barbed wire to protect his allotment from thieves has been ordered to take it down in case intruders hurt themselves.

A man in Worcestershire, England put up the three-foot fence to ward off thieves who had stolen his tools and ransacked his vegetable garden.

Bill Malcolm says he was told by the council to remove the barbed wire fence so the city couldn't be held liable if a thief were to be wounded and brought a lawsuit.

He is my brother-in-law. He is very insecure and that is how he builds up his self confidence and self worth. I feel bad for him so I just let him do it. I'm just that kind of a person
