High Mercury Level Warning in 6 Utah fishing spots
Utah issues mercury advisories for 6 fishing spots
September 30th, 2008 @ 10:50am
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The state Department of Health has issued fish consumption advisories for six fishing areas because of elevated levels of mercury in the waterways.
The new advisories recommend that adults limit their consumption of smallmouth bass at Jordanelle Reservoir; largemouth bass at Sand Hollow Reservoir; and brown trout at Pine Creek, Porcupine Reservoir, Rock Creek below the Upper Stillwater Reservoir and the East Fork Sevier River between Otter Creek and Piute reservoirs.
The state says pregnant women and children should not eat the fish.

It does not affect me. Can't catch a damn thing. I bet I could not even catch a Utah Lake carp.
