    Fall is here!

I took this photo not far from home today. The colors are becoming quite nice and should peak soon (probably a week).

Some of the trees are still fairly green though:

Guess it's time to enjoy it now because soon all the leaves will be gone. Right now colors are out down low and the higher mountains frosted with snow.

    Where did summer go?

Definitely my favorite time of year for mountain biking. Pretty much my favorite time of year.

Not to long we'll be searching for those powder shots.

Peak foliage still a couple weeks away here in NC. Photos were from yesterday's hike in Stone Mtn State Park near Elkin.

Ok, my pictures were taken last week on a date with my wife. They weren't supposed to be family pictures, but I guess that is what happens when the whole family smiles at the camera together.

OMG!!! Your kids face on that first pic is priceless!. You should seriously hang that in an art museum. Doesn't get any better than that I tell ya.

Is that Stone Mountain, Georgia or is there another Stone Mountain in NC?

Yep, this Stone Mtn is in North Carolina. Not nearly as famous as the one in Georgia, although quite popular with climbers. And at least this past weekend quite popular with foreign tourists. Haven't heard so many different languages being spoken since my last visit to Bryce Canyon NP.
