    Sushi Anyone?

My wife and I are big sushi fans. I am always interested in trying out new places to eat. Our favorite sushi is found at Tsunami in Salt Lake. Just wondering if there are any other sushi fans and what your favorite places in Salt Lake to Ogden are and what are your favorite menu or non menu (specials) are?

    MMMMMM....spicey tuna hand rolls.....mmmmmm.....Toro

    Ichiban Sushi
    336 S 400 E, Salt Lake City, UT
Sushi in a converted Lutheran church. Love this place. Best in the UTAH.
Try the Charlie or the Funky Charlie (deep fried and tasty).

    The Happy Sumo
153 S Rio Grande St, Salt Lake City, UT, one in Orem too. Pricey, but good.
Sunset, Vegas, Utah, Jazz, Wasatch, too many good rolls to narrow it down.

    Yapona
    466 North 900 West, Suite C American Fork, UT 84003 801-763-1388
Pretty good and very close to my home! (Sushi in AF, who would have imagined?)

    Sushi Ya
    1545 S State, Orem, UT 84097, (801) 225-7760
Not quite as good as Ichiban, but they have all you can eat Sushi for 17.50! (You order more rolls as you finish so they are fresh not sitting on some buffet table).
Be sure to try the Crystal Shrimp roll!

Actually the Crystal Shrimp is probably my favorite on this list.

Sushi Ya in Orem is my favorite when I'm po. I really like nigiri and I've only had once where the fish was not fantastic.

Now, if I have some excess in my account, then it's easy for me to spend well over $100 at Tsunami. My favorite roll there is the Don Juan and the salmon and escolar nigiri are generally fantastic.

I love the Happy Sumo for Utah Valley sushi but I have to say that my all time favorite sushi place in Utah is Tsunamis next to the movie theater by Nordstrom Rack in Sugarhouse; I think it's Sugarhouse anyway. It's all Salt Lake to me any further north than Sandy.
How can you have your non-dairy pudding substitute if you don't eat your wok-braised tofu?

Jasmine sushi bar in Holiday, Kao (the chef) is the masta! Ask him for "special" rolls, he makes the sushi up as he does it, different every time, totally not on the menu.
