Thursday 9/11 AF Canyon URMB Group Ride

Helmets and good attitude required. Rides may be canceled or changed due to weather or other reasons, so to confirm call the ride leader.

Location: AF Canyon 5:00 p.m. SHARP
Meet at the large dirt turnout, mouth of the canyon, just before the road crosses the river and you come to the pay shack.
Route: Start at Timpooneke parking lot. Ride up Salamander Flat trail to Ridge Trail, down and up South Fork Little Deer Creek to the Summit Parking lot then north on Ridge Trail and back down Pine Hollow and Salamander Flat Trail to the parking lot.
Start riding at 5:15 PM

Ride level: Intermediate to advanced (not a beginner ride)
Distance: 11 miles
Sustained Climbs: Yes
Technical Trails: Somewhat; mostly hardpacked alpine trails, some rocks and roots, hairpin turns.
Will not leave anyone behind.
What to bring: Bike ;~), helmet, friends, gloves, shoes, front tire, water, spare tube and other minor repair items.
Other: All welcome. URMB is insured through IMBA club insurance which requires the following: Members need to sign role, non club members need to sign waiver. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian signature to ride. You can find a waiver on our website and I will have copies. Sorry, it is required by IMBA insurance. Don't let this modern day technicality of life in America keep you from showing up:!:
