    Oh, a POSSE.

Don't celebs usually arrive with their own posse?

it might also be helpful to give an idea what type of canyons you're interested in. lots of variety out there.

well we have done keyhole, pine creek behunin a few times and echo and mystery. so we were looking for some more adventure . we heard that telephone or englestead were pretty good times. we heard that you could make a long day out of telephone and behunin so we thought that could be cool. we usually take it pretty easy in the canyon and take a few pictures and enjoy the scenery. so probably something around those lines...

    Actually in this case:

"Helmet policeman is also Spelling policeman."

Police represents a group of individuals. Policeman is an individual.

I'm a crappy speller and I know this and have lived my life being corrected. I'm used to it and I learn. I have also learned that those that spell well have more difficulty understanding when there are misspellings because they read the words, whereas we read groups of words and fill in the blanks drawing from our experience.

There is a great posting that circulates around the internet all the time that I cannot locate at the moment that says "Can you read this?" They misspell all the words except the first and last letter of each word. It is interesting to see that people who can read the paragraph do so with little difficulty. The people who cannot read the paragraph - cannot read the paragraph at all right from the very beginning.

I knew what snap101 wanted - to put a group together to go canyoneering. I knew the word was spelled wrong....cannot tell you how to spell it now without looking it up in a book. ( notice I say book, because I can't spell that other word without the book that begins with a 'd'. I'm not at my desk. )
