Police in Roy arrested an apparent ninja-wannabe after he allegedly tried to rob some people sitting on a porch last night.

The victims reported the man was dressed similar to one of the legendary Japanese assassins -- in black and carrying a machete, in lieu of a samurai sword.

Roy Police Sgt. Curtis Gibson said the group was sitting on a porch near 5100 South and 1950 West about 10 p.m. when the suspect approached.

Though he had the machete, it was a .22-caliber pistol that he pointed at them, demanding money and drugs, police say.

Some of the porch-dwellers ran and found a police officer at a nearby traffic stop. Police arrested the man a few minutes later.

He was booked into the Weber County jail on suspicion of robbery and assault.

I always thought a ninja could take a pirate, but he got arrested. What kind of ninja gets arrested.

For some reason I can't stop laughing about this

    What drug was he on

He would have gotten away with it had the cop not been a ninja hunting uber-ninja in his spare time.

Sounds like a white-trash ninja to me.... using a machete instead of a samurai sword. Idiot!

Did he really need drugs? Sounds like he already had some working for him.
