yeah, you'd love em until that bad ass is crawling up your leg.
I don't care for spiders, but it's the snakes that make me run like a girl.

I like spiders because they serve us by catching those darn insects. Most spiders don't crawl on to your leg on purpose. Insects, on the other hand, are vicious.

I love snakes too... this little guy I found on a trail was my pet for a while. Then one day while he was outside he went into a gopher hole and left me. I was so sad. I love natures critters.... but I am not into domestic animals. Besides I am allergic to cats and dogs, I would never want one as a pet. My favorite pet was a Bob Cat. That was so cool. I do have a healthy respect for dangerous insects and snakes though!!!!

Here is a funny picture of me with a snake that was found along a trail..

I had a pet spider that lived with me last summer in my bedroom window. He lived for over 5 months in that spot. I believe he was an Orb weaver of some sort. His webs were GORGEOUS. Once the first freeze came, he was gone and I was very sad. I also had snakes growing up and love them also. I included a VERY dated photo of me with my girl snake named PINK. She went everywhere with me. To school, to rehab, to the grocery store. Then one day I accidentally killed her and it DEVASTATED me. Oh and my son held Rosie the tarantula at our local butterfly pavilion.....photo also included. And I held some crazy horny Beetle in Costa Rica. Yea, so I like the not so likable animals of the animal kingdom. Roaches on the other hand.........NOT GOOD.

But yes Savanna......men make the best pets. Sometimes however, I wish I could squash em.

Alison how could you possibly accidentaly kill such a big snake? Tell the story please, unless it's too emotional for you then don't. We'll understand.

Poor troops. Not only they have insurgents to fear but also killer spiders. WTF? How come I've never seen a Discovery Chanel special on these things?

I like spiders in the very same way as Garfield.

Oh man...I'm also not a spider fan, but LOVE snakes and other reptiles.

A few I've had over the years...

    Redtail Boa (BCC)

    Ball Python

Jungle Carpet Python (This little girl was feisty but awesome)

And my all time favorite that I still miss to this day...my BCI Redtail Boa. Had him since he was a foot long until full grown and 6.5 feet long.

I had to let him go because I got so swamped with school and work that I felt like I was starting to neglect him (still fed him and cleaned the cage and everything). Just never had time to take him out of the cage etc...

Come to think of it, I think I'll email the guy who has him and see if there is any chance of getting him back now that I have the time....it's been a couple years.
