    Hooked me a Dorado...and a few tuna!

A group of us chartered a 2 day off shore fishing trip to San Diego last week. We spent 2 days on the Sea Adventure, out of H&M Landing. The first day was great fishing with over 100 good sized tuna on board. I got to land a dorado, which I was excited about, but it was pretty small. My son hammered 5 tuna on the first day then spent the rest of the day sleeping. It took me all day to hook up with 7. There was alot of seasick guys on the boat, thankfully not me. The 2nd day was much slower with only 8-10 landed on the whole boat, but I was lucky enough to land the biggest fish of the day. The yellowtail put up a good battle, but I won, and also won the biggest fish pot for the day.

    Sweet Jesus!

    Nice fishies.

Saltwater is something I've never tried. I'd love to though.

I grew up in fishing in fresh water. I have done quite a bit of salt, since it's just down the street and one of the guys I work with has a pretty nice boat for it. Fishing in salt is nice, bigger fish and being on a boat all day cannot be beat (in fresh or salt). But, I feel there's nothing like wading in a river or stream, reading the water like a book and knowing where the fish are. Wading in that river and it seems like life stops for awhile, your thoughts are focused on that river, in the moment. I guess I'm just partial to something I grew up fishing in and still love today. I can see someone feeling the same about the salt
