    Hard to beat pancreatic cancer. My sympathies to his family.

    On the other hand, I always considered players' unions to be one form of evil. They are the stars, for certain, but as they demand higher salaries, owners must raise ticket prices and TV revenue. The consumer, you and I, gets stuck with the bill. Why do we allow this?
