Salome Jug Conditions?

I will be in the area in a few days and always wanted to check this canyon out. Can anyone tell me how grim the water would be in this canyon this time of year? Would there still be a little flow or just pools and pools of soupy green stuff? Recent trip reports? Am I better banking on a future trip earlier in the season?

While the Jug could have seen some rain from the latest monsoonal moisture, it often dries up fast leaving the pools filled with nice, green, slimy goo.

And with predicted highs for Globe, AZ, near 100F for the next few days, this might not be the best time to go, not to mention the threat of flash floods from the scattered thunderstorms.

If you can make it out next April or May, however, the Jug will likely be a lot of fun with many slides, jumps, and swims. The one and only rappel is fun, too, if you decide to go down the waterfall, or if you have the heuvos, it can also be jumped.
