    Tetons-Static Peak Trip Report

    Hiked Static Peak via Death Canyon in the Tetons Saturday. I had the trail all to myself on the way up but returning to the trailhead saw 97 people headed in! I was surprised to see so many people on that trail. I saw a pine marten (big surprise) and a bear (not so big of a surprise). Initially I had hoped to go over and peer into Alaska Basin but the trail appeared 1/3 to 1/2 snow covered and since I was hiking alone decided to to go there.
