    Barrel Roll Trail TR 7/31/08

well after taking a week off because my knee wasn't doing so good, me and some friends rode the Barrel Roll Trail today.. And it is 6 miles of pure hell. Big climbs and rock gardens up and down.
I went down big rock drops but it's the little ones that get you. I went off this small drop on my way down. It’s one of those drops that you don't care about and just cruse off of it. Well I wasn't so lucky. My front tire goes down and just sticks. I go flying over the bars and crash. My GPS goes rolling down the hill and I bend my break leaver.... again, and it's the same one. I’m sorry I didn't get video of it. I thought I was getting good video of the downhill just before I ate it, but no it was in picture mode.

If you do this trail take lots of tubes.
I got about 30 min of video.

It’s super rocky and I don't plan on doing this one anytime soon.. It has switch backs up and switch backs down.

EDIT: VIDEO UPLOADED. like i said before... it looked so much better before i uploaded it to youtube. i'm realy not liking the quality. but this is the first video of the trail and some video is better then no video.

So now I give you the pictures.

\/\/ this is where I ate it.. I took the picture because I thought I was ending the video... not. O well i still got a picture of it. The red dots mark my path. I think I should have gone to the left more.

I think we were going to take a week off and try to find a fun one to do in two weeks.

i'll be working on the video and i'll try my best to make them look as good as sombeech's videos.

the trail head is about 1.3 miles directly SW of Santa Clara. you just take the new bridge across the river then fallow the dirt road up.
