Josephite Point Trail
For the holiday weekend, my little brother and I loaded our packs up and away we went to the Josephite Point Trail.
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UT...9,0.11055&z=13
We drove by Joe’s Valley Reservoir and up towards Skyline Drive. Before getting to Skyline we turned to go to Pete’s Hole. We stopped at the Soup Bowl and fished a little bit. We caught 2 rainbow and decided to leave because a big group started fishing beside us.

Soon we were at Pete’s Hole but there were too many people there, so we didn’t try fishing. The trailhead for the Josephite Point Trail is right next to Pete’s Hole.

Only 1 mile to Academy Mill Reservoir, we thought, no problem.
About half way the bugs started in on us. Finally we got to Academy and sweat was pouring off of my head.

We walked around the lake and about half way around, it started to rain. So we high tailed it back to the tent.

After it finished raining, the skies cleared and we tried some more fishing.

After a while I finally caught one. It had some nice color to it.

For dinner we fried up the 2 fish. It wasn’t bad, but it could of used some pepper.
Next day we woke up to a nice view of the lake.

The fish weren’t biting so off we went to hike further up the trail.

A little over half a mile, we were at Grass Lake. It is called Grass Lake because there is more grass then water.

No fishing here, so we continued on, another three quarters of a mile and we were at Slide Lake.
It is called Slide Lake because of a big mud slide that happened long ago.

We turned around and headed back for camp. There were so many biting flies, we had to hurry back to camp. We ate lunch and packed up. Just as we got to the car it started raining again. Driving down the road, we stopped to have a look at where we were.

A shot of Joe’s Valley. On our way back home.
