    20 years ago and now....

These pics are of people duplicating pictures taken of themselves with their cars 20 years ago.

In most cases, it looks like the cars held up better than their owners.

It's a kiddie car silly! I was "lying" about not being old enough to even drive 20 yrs ago!

And yes, I was a "Vette" girl......and a Mustang girl......and a Camaro girl......and a Porsche girl.....etc.....etc. I loved cars and used to spend a lot of my hard earned money on them.

Yes Sir.... the SCCA used to hold a car show in the Cottonwood Mall every year to drum up new members and spectators. They also held one at New Gate Mall in Odgen. I was real big into SCCA racing in 1984. I raced an F-Stock Camero Z-28 along with a A-Street Prepared RX-7. And anything else I could get my hands on....

You mean do I miss having thousands of people in the stands cheering or booing? Do I miss having beautiful young women toss themselves at my feet? Do I miss adrenaline highs that would last days? Do I miss never having to buy a cup of coffee? Do I miss the competition?

    YES

Or do you mean.... Do I miss spending every waking moment working on the cars? Do I miss putting every dime I can get my hands on back into the cars? Do I miss living out of motel rooms? Do I miss test days that last 12 hours in the 100 degree sun with no shade? Do I miss sponsor meet and greets? Do I miss eating rubbery fried chicken at every club event, sponsor event and banquet imaginable? Do I miss not eating so we can afford to put new tires on the car? Do I miss not sleeping so we can get the cars ready? Do I miss driving 37 hours straight so we can make the race?

    NO

Miss them? My guess is that Ice thinks it's still his racing days. When he looks in the mirror he is still that same racer and when he is on the freeways... LOOK OUT! --- and of course the women are still waiting for him at the finish line.
