SAR Neff Canyon/Mt Olympus

On my morning run today I noticed SAR staging area and watched the helicopter take off from Oakridge Elementary and search the north fork of Neff's Canyon.

I don't have any reason to suspect this, but would like to think it's true: SAR lets the people know they are going to be rescued, but allows them to spend the night on a ledge to strengthen the lesson.
