    Boundary 6-21

Jason and I hit Boundary yesterday. What a great canyon. There was a trickle of water. We'd both packed wetsuit vests, beanies, and a dry shirt. Didn't need any of it. Once we got into the canyon I simply put on my rainjacket and stayed dry. Jason didn't even need that.

We started around 8 and finished at about 6. We kind of took our time, taking lots of pictures and screwing around. Perfect weather. Lots of traffic in there in the past couple of weeks, footprints everywhere. It has been about 5 years since my last experience with the MIA. My mind must have dulled the pain in those memories. I told Jason that I didn't remember the MIA being that bad. So this time I took lots of pictures so I could remember the next time we start thinking of doing a canyon with an MIA exit.

We didn't see any other people, a few small snow drifts in Kolob. In the afternoon right after we reached the mid MIA saddle the clouds drifted in and we were overcast the rest of the way up. Nice.

I wore my HR monitor the whole time. I've been curious about my average HR while doing canyons, and I wanted to see how close I would come to death while ascending the MIA. It's interesting to see it rise and fall as we climbed.

Very cool. Glad you got to enjoy it. Boundary is definitely a fun little romp. If I get a chance to catch up on my photos, I'll send some along too...

    Nice whish I was there.

Shouldn't it be TR Boundry 6-21 not 7-21. If it was 7-21 may I have access to your time machine for a trip through Goose.

Great pictures, Boundary is sure a pretty canyon. Was that a dead rat or possum or what? Those snow drifts are cool, they make the trip hard core. Seeing those pictures on MIA makes my knees weak and now I feel nauseous. Ahh precious memories!

Looks like at exactly 4:05pm you died (your HR goes to zero). Did your friend give you mouth-to-mouth?

    Sweet TR.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.
