Question for Ogden residents
About a month ago I was driving around Ogden with my girlfriend and we noticed about 15-20 homes that were boarded up around Jefferson Park along Grant Ave between 34th and 36th (I wish I would have written down where we were, but looking at google maps this really looks a lot like the area). I was curious if any members here know why they are boarded up; redevelopment, bad neighborhood, infestation of flesh eating death termites, etc? The area didn't look too bad, but then again I don't know Ogden well.

Yeah, that's the ghetto. Ogden has a few places like that, closer to Wall and a little more North also.
It's getting better though. Ogden has seen it's glory days a few decades ago, and about 10 years ago, about half of it was slum. Ogden is making a good recovery though with some good decisions made by the city gov't.
Still got a long ways to go before it reaches happy valley status though.

Actually, I didn't think it was that bad compared to other places I've been.
