Climber breaks leg
May 11th, 2008 @ 11:56am
SANDY, Utah (AP) -- A rock climber fell 30 feet to the bottom of a ledge, where he lay for four hours with a broken leg before help arrived.
The 22-year-old man was climbing with a friend and a relative above a waterfall near Rocky Mountain Trailhead.
He grabbed a rock that gave way, falling Saturday night.
Rescuers set up ropes to lower themselves and the man in a basket 200 feet to the trailhead.
The man was taken by ambulance to the University of Utah Hospital, where he was expected to recover.

Rocky Mouth would really be roaring right now with all the snow melt. I bet it was not even climbers.... more like youngin's scrambling around on the cliff would be my best guess.
