    Birch Hollow

For those of you that have done birch hollow. If you have a motorcycle to use as a shuttle do you recommend going back up wind hollow or hiking back up the orderville road and then shuttling on bike back to start of birch. May want to go try birch next weekend before taking scouts in june down both birch and orederville.
    thanks

If you are going to shuttle I'd go with hike up Orderville road. I believe wild wind exit is so you don't need a shuttle.

Going up wild wind is quite a bushwhack and the route of least resistence can be vague unless you've done it before. Sure, you can just stay in the wash all the way up but that makes the bushwhacking even worse.

I agree with trackrunner. If you have a convenient shuttle then just do the Orderville exit. I believe it's about a 3 mile shuttle back. I've done it on a mountain bike and it wasn't too bad.

Having done the WWH exit just a few weeks ago I can promise you that you want to avoid it at all costs. Even hiking up to Orderville and back to your car, even though more miles, is far easier than going up the WWH exit.
