    Learning to fly fish

I am so proud. My son wanted to learn to fly fish Yesterday. I had Tried to teach him last year but he was not interested. We were fishing at a little farm pond that I know of. I was going after Bluegill with the fly rod, and after I had caught 3 or 4 he wanted to try. He landed 5 and hooked up with about that many more. It was so cool to see someone learn and then catch fish right away. To top it off he was catching them on a fly that I tied and was using my grandfather's bamboo rod! So cool! Just had to boast.
shoot straight, cast far, and hike all day.

    That's awesome! Good for you.

My kid is only at the reeling in stage, right now. I'll give him another year or two before he can really cast and retrieve.

    Nice job.
