    Is this surfable?

I looked at this section of river today in Riverdale, I'm wondering if I can grab a WakeSurfboard and ride it.

    What do you guys think?

    Well sure, why not.

There is no way you can stay in place there to surf. That being said, I think you should try it :D.

The wake is staying true in the middle, you could try man. I will bring throw ropes if you want.

Where can I find a flow chart for this river? It's the Weber River, in Riverdale. I just want to see what the average trend is, if it will increase.

If the flow will increase, I'll wait it out and try then, when it's warmer. If not, I'm gonna do it now.

Seriously Justin. If you try this, I really want to be there and watch. I will be happy to be part of your film crew or whatever :D.

Sure no problem. Just don't expect much notice, I may just do it spontaneously.

If I can get a flowchart (I'm too lazy to search for myself) then I'll be able to do a little planning.

the far side of the wave looks surfable.

in my grommet days (late 80's) up in the NW, we surfed a hole beneath a bridge that quickly became popular with the local wakeboard crowd on rainy days in late spring early summer. the hydraulics of the wave in were such, that with a rope tied-off to the upstream side of the bridge, they were able to jib and stick the occasional huck (when a hip would form in the middle of the wave).

I dropped by this spot again today, saw some kayakers playing around.

Apparently, they've seen some surfers there in the past years when the flow gets around 1100, and it's expected to reach about 1600 by the end of May.

By my interpretation of the chart, it's right around 700 cfs? I still don't know how to read it, but that's my guess.
