Glad to see we're not the only ones who got blasted. I awoke to 1 - 2 inches this morning.
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

I'm hoping for a lack of snow down around Grand Gulch for the next 10 days. For the first time, I'm planning on backpacking without a tent - just a tarp & ground cloth.

I'm visiting Seattle right now, and we had mixed rain and snow last night. Crazy!!!

I woke up to a blizzard and by 11:00, all gone. Thank goodness.

No snow in Provo, just a lot of wind.

Hey Cirrus! We were just down in Grand Gulch over Easter and things are in pretty good shape. Any ground that sees sun is dry, or drying out, but the north facing slopes in the canyons had some decent snow still. We hiked down into Owl Creek canyon to see the ruins and it was spectacular . Also Did Mule Canyon which was great too!

60's by day, 25ish by night. chilly! (cold enough for a 4 gallon igloo water cooler to freeze solid overnight)

    Enjoy!
    Ian

You are my inspiration for that - purchased a silicone impregnated nylon tarp, and finally got the trekking poles I've been considering for years. And going light gives me more payload for stuff like booze & batteries... See ya soon!

Thanks for the report, Ian! I'm hoping for a few more degrees by the middle of next week. I'd love to not have to worry too much about water freezing - at least not solid, so even 30'd be OK... I'll be in Grand Gulch from Kane to Collins, and won't get a chance for the animals (Owl, Fish, Mule) on this trip. One day! Thanks again!
