Slot Canyons in (or near) Wyoming
Anybody know of any? Specifically around Green River?
It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

Yeah, it's got the Winds, and some of the Uintahs. I doubt there would be any unless you went to the lowest part of the state, but I don't think it gets that low.

Good one Sombeech....unfortunately, there is too much vegetation in that photo to pass as Wyoming (at least SW Wyoming).
There HAS to be something down around Dinosaur as well. I know Scott P has beta for a few in there (Magic Chamber). It's only "science" if it supports the narrative.

There's definitely a few in Dinosaur, look at Scott's posts under SummitPost.
There is the ice cave that Eric wrote about in a previous thread which, while not a canyon, looked really cool.
Not really familiar with others, so that's just an opportunity for researching and exploring!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get to this one...I dont surf the posts like I used to, BUT you ought to check out this site:
http://www.fremontcanyon.com/
You can drive through the Fremont canyon area via the turn off at Alcova Resevoir on the state road that is on the way to Casper...south of Casper, sorry, dont have that info in front of me even though Ive driven it for years to get to Casper. Once on the turn off road, go past Alcova a ways and you'll have a right turn taking you to Fremont Canyon and Pathfinder reservoir and dam.
This weblink will explain all you need to know.
here is another one that may prove helpful:

green grass....must be somewhere in Bridger Valley....in less than a ten mile block ....I guess you'd have to live there to think that one was funny
