Arthur C Clarke dies.
I wonder how many kids this guy inspired to grow up to be scientists?
RIP Mr. C.

More bad reporting.
I really hate this kind of popular tripe.
Clarke was also credited with the concept of communications satellites in 1945, decades before they became a reality.
Hell the Wunderwaffe had a whole plan to uses satellites as communications
and "death ray" platforms during WWII, well before 1945.
I like the guy but this is giving him too much credit.
This one will line up right next to George Washingtons cherry tree incident. Please buy my book - "Paiute ATV Trail Guide" at www.atvutah.com - I need gas money!!!!

He did work for the Royal Air Force in the 40's and did have something to do with helping to develop communications using positioning satellites. Not sure if that's debatable and for this posting don't really care. I do care that, in my opinion, his books are genius. I remember going to the theater, in the late 60's, and watching "2001: A Space Odyssey". Everyone around us was going "Huh?" but my brother and I understood the film because we had read the book. Genius!
Are we there yet?
