    Leprechaun Canyon and Blarney Canyon

So I left my comfort zone of Bo and the Zion area and drove to the Hanksville area to meet with Alex (Kazak), Redbonz (Adam) and Shane. I had never been in such skinny canyons and they are quite different from Zion's canyons. I love downclimbing and these canyons had lots of that. There was one fun rappell too with a fun start. The hint to wear long sleeves and pants is a good one! I am still going with all the photos, but here are a few to start with.

Great pics, Tanya! I really loved those skinny slots when I got in there last fall. The colouring in there is gorgeous. An excellent, timely visit to the Irish slots!

Thanks! I am not one to say to anyone to get out of Zion.... but it was warm in these canyons while it was snowing in Zion! The drive was not so bad either... I noticed on the way home Wayne HS where I drive my daughter to play basketball games all the time, so I actually do that drive all the time. The guys were a blast --- there is nothing like having new men around to tease. --- I think they are afraid of me now. --- but the downclimbing I loved! Just be sure and wear something to protect your skin from the very rough sandstone.... bring a small pack... and put nothing hard it or you will have hole.. I have a couple of holes and there was nothing in mine except a harness and a water bag.

Do you think I am bad for posting that while he is away at a conference .. equipped only with his little blackberry and no time to post and defend himself. I better take it off!
