    Mount Nebo hike

Anyone done the hike up to the top of Mount Nebo? I have only hit it from the west side of the mountain. Is the East side more scenic? Same? Not as scenic?
If the trail is too long, you're too old.

I have no idea, but it is on my to-do list this year.

I did it from the north side and it is definitely scenic from that direction. From the east it isn't as dramatic as from the west.
This is from the trail north of Wolfe Pass

This is from near the top of the false summit

From the west side, do you mean Pole Canyon? There are two routes that are generally used on the east side, the short one approaches from the north ridge. The long approaches from the south. I did the north ridge last May.

I did the North trail a couple years ago. I thought it was pretty great. It's a tough hike but beautiful

Its a steep one, thats for sure. Once you get past the first wave of exhaustion though its all good. I will have to do it again on a different trail. Thanks for the Pic's.

Did it a couple of years ago from the Andrews Ridge Trail. Well, did the south summit; the hike between the south and north summits looked very daunting along a knife edge ridge. This way was relentlessly steep, though the fact there is a trail all the way to the summit makes it easier, in my mind, that comparable hikes like Lone Peak or Broads Fork Twins. Since the trail is up the south ridge, it gets a lot of sun, and melts earlier than one might think. (I recall doing it in late June).

Let's plan a trip this year. This is one of the high points on my list. Provided I'm not in prison I'll be up for it.
