TR - Buffalo Petroglyph Panel
After watching the Monticello Triathalon we took a little time to enjoy the weather and take a little family hike in the Indian Creek area (not real far from Newspaper Rock). We've named these petroglyphs the Buffalo Panel. The petroglyphs are spread out over about 200-300 yards and make for a fun family hike. Here are some pics.

My wife thinks its a hippopotamus too and calls it the Hippo Panel. However, because I wear the pants in the family and make all important decisions I have named it the Buffalo panel.
And as for the dog. He is a great little dog that loves to hike. He gets so excited everytime we take him that he whines the whole way there until we can get on the trail. It is darn annoying.
There are lots more petroglyphs that I didn't take pictures of. The funny thing is, despite all of the petros in the area I can't think of a single ruin around the sites. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can enlighten me.The gostak distims the doshes.

this is an incredible canyon. the fact thats its on the other side of the creek keeps a lot of people from finding it. it is in a couple of guide books as shay canyon. you can see that some of the picto's are rather photogenic.
But if I agreed with you, we would both be wrong.
