I'll be in Buckhorn wash/draw in the Swell next weekend. Any hints to any cool stuff in the area besides the big panel? PM me if you feel like sharing. I understand if you don't.

found in a sloped alcove, but not that steep to need moki steps, most likely footings for a structure

Not much for ruins inside, just this bit of wall and the last two photos...
still, plenty of things to keep an eye out for.

A place to see them on an epic scale is Bowns Canyon off Lake Powell...upstream from the Escalante arm. The canyon is filled with ruins and there's no doubt they were growing corn in that thing big time. Probably the most concentrated corn grinding depressions and matates I've ever seen anywhere...dozens of them, big ones, too. This pic is near a granary I found recently.

I absolutely agree with this statement! I spend too much time in my office. When I am outside, it is usually hiking the local canyons/mountains or canyoneering. When the knees go for good, I'll start hitting more flat land stuff.
BTW, I'm heading to Buckhorn wash area this weekend. I haven't heard from anyone about places to visit. Anyone?Life is Good
