    Eagle Crags---not today

We drove up the road east of Rockville trying for the trailhead. Made the steep scary part(iced over)and went just past the last houses before turning around in a foot of gooey mud at the cattle guard.
Went back down(scary stuff) and did a little hiking on the other side of the canyon.

It's your aversion of 'trails' that did it.

That road gets really bad when its wet. I bet its a real mess right now!

That looks like a pretty place you explored though. Nice photos

Sorry to hear your feeling bad, hope you get well soon.
There were snowboarders today off checkerboard mesa, sure hope the east side dries out soon, too many destinations still undone.

We were going to go in the AZ Strip to do a little shooting yesterday but a friend told me it was really muddy. I'd been in some clay outside Colorado City last week and did not need another adventure. We ended up at the range up LaVerkin Twist and and just killed a few cans and bottles.

We went over the East side on Saturday, certainly was a lot of snow. With 60
degree days this week should be some interesting melting. Many Pools?

That does look like a cool place, Kurt. Thanks for the pictures from both days.

Everything's probably going to be pretty sticky for awhile?
Should make for a great bloom of cactus this spring.

Eagle crags has a fair amount of rattlers up in the top area.
Future reference. I like to skeedaddle before the sun begins to cast that beautiful orange Zion glow over everything.
