TR: Escalante
Hesse and I were in Escalante for a few days last weekend. Brrrr!
Pics from the trip are under the gallery on OutdoorZen, and a new write-up (Islomania Dome) . Check them out http://outdoorzen.org
Enjoy! We had a great time. Winter light is fantastic for photos, and it's definitely the off season as far as crowds go.
Aside from the cold nights, it's a good time of year to be out.
Other write-ups coming soon as time permits.

The last one is my fav... gives a very nice sense of scale with a person in the pic. Then the solitary set of footprints going through the sand, with the snow in front. Excellent composition.

The pictures are great! I especially like the one of you balancing on that ice plate. How'd you manage to get down off there with your bum knee?
I hope I can finally do a canyon with you and Ryan this year!
Let me know when you guys are gonna be in Zion.
Kolob is still on my list!
