Anyone familiar with anything to do in Georgia?
I will be relocating to Baxley, GA based out of the Moody Forest Natural Area for work.

I will be done there for three months. While I have found some info on bike trails, hiking, etc. I was wondering if by any chance, someone off here knows about the area.
Thanks

If you want to hike, I'm sure there are lots of woods to walk in, but nothing like Utah trails. You have to go to North Georgia to get into the mountains where the trails are really good. For history buffs, or just beach lovers, the coast has a lot to see. Towns like Savannah, Jekyll Island, Hilton Head, Sc and Charleston, SC are good places to visit. If you are into golf, go to Augusta during Masters week, you might be able to get a ticket for a practice round. You have to inherit a ticket for the actual tournament.
Atlanta is the only big city in Ga, but worth several visits. Again, the mountains are nice, lots of waterfalls. The Appalachian Trail starts up there, goes all the way to Maine.

Oh yeah, you'll be close to the Okefenokee Swamp. Lots of gators there.

Yeah, I was down in the swamp earlier this year when they were having all the fires. I wouldn't mind looking around in there more.
