    Zion Waterfalls and flooding

An incredible day in Zion today, rain was melting snow up high and coming down quite hard. I've probably got 50+ pics, heres a few.

Wow, that's as good as I've seen it. I was up there Sunday and there wasn't near that much water.

That was at the far west end of court of the patriarchs, we hiked in a ways to get pics but didn't want to miss anything else so it was a short hike.
Now I wish we would have gone back further.
It is the drainage south and west of Abraham peak. Is there a name for the canyon? It looks significant. Don't see anything on my topo USA

Birch Creek. Neat photo, in that, on the falls on the left, you can see it free fall until it hits the ledge at the first 300 foot drop, then another 300 feet to the ground from there. Back to back 300 foot rappels...whoo hooo!

Best done in the dark with ropes that don't quite reach on the last rap...ha ha.

    Great shots.

What a great set of photos. I have always wanted to be in Zion in those conditions just to see the show. Thanks for posting.
