Fault line may be more active than previously thought

(KSL News) Utah geologists say a fault line that cuts near Washington City could be more active than experts previously thought.

The fault runs north to south through the city and parallels the Hurricane fault several miles east.

More studies are being done to determine the frequency and severity of the fault's movement. The geologist says the goal is not to scare people but to make sure everyone is aware of the earthquake hazard.
