    Ladders one last time

    The ice is forming quickly at Strawberry and I hoped the ladders would have some open water. This is what it looked like when I arrived:



    It made for slow fishing, but I ended up happy anyhow.

    Great fish, nice report

    That is truly a great fish. You must be hardcore to be fishing under those conditions.

    It was pretty cold all day. I was bundled up really well, too. I knew it would be wet, so I wore my waders over 3 layers over my legs. In each of the front pockets of my pants (layer 3) I had a hand warmer and in the chest pocket of the waders I had one too. All that wrapped in 2 fleece jackets and a good weather shell on the outside. Insulated leather gloves really helped, too. The leather helped keep out the steady wind.

    I'm going to really miss open water.

    'Guess I'll just have to try out this ice fishing thing.
